Eva Marcille celebrated her daughter Marley Rae Sterling’s seventh birthday with a beautiful cake and gathering among family friends. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star took to Instagram this past weekend to give her oldest child well wishes on her special day.
“My heart, my sunshine, my everything,” Marcille wrote to her daughter. “Happy 7th Birthday, young Queen,” the celebrity mom continued. “Thank you @ellybevents for ALWAYS coming through.”
Marley’s birthday party was scaled down due to coronavirus restrictions. Nevertheless, Eva made certain her daughter’s cake was the epitome of beauty.
“Happy birthday,” Keisha Epps wrote to Marley Rae on her birthday. “I didnât know she was a January baby,” another of Eva’s social media followers said. “Happy Birthday, Marley,” the fan added.
Marley Rae is Eva Marcille’s biological child with Kevin McCall. Eva ended the relationship with Marley’s biological dad months after she gave birth to their daughter in Los Angeles back in 2014. Marcille later obtained sole custody of Marley along with a restraining order against Kevin McCall, which remains in place to date.
Kevin recently filed for custody of Marley Rae after Eva changed their daughter’s last name from McCall to Sterling. The artist was ultimately unsuccessful in his attempt to regain custody of Marley but not before some critics scrutinized Eva for changing her oldest daughter’s last name.

“There are certain situations where you donât get along with the guy but he still a good dad, then thatâs a completely different situation,” Eva said of her relationship with Kevin McCall during an interview with Keyshia Cole.
“I have a lot of people that have comments like, ‘Why did you change her name and why did you do this?’ You donât live in this house,” Marcille continued. “I have one obligation and itâs to give her the best life she can have. And this is her family. In our family, our name is Sterling.”
Eva changed her daughter’s last name to match the last name of Marcille’s husband, Michael Sterling, who accepts Marley Rae as his own child. Eva and Michael have two kids, Maverick and Michael Jr., together.
