Kim Kardashian wants joint custody of her and Kanye West’s kids, according to divorce documents filed by the Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK) star on Friday (Feb. 19).
TMZ reports,
“Kim Kardashian has filed to divorce Kanye West after 7 years of marriage, but our sources say it’s as amicable as a divorce can be.
Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s 4 kids. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ Kanye is fine with the joint custody arrangement, and we’re told both Kim and Ye are committed to co-parenting together.”
Rumors of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s separation went wild after his presidential campaign led to revelations of private information. Kanye alleged he and Kim considered aborting their oldest daughter, North West. Kim did not directly respond to such a claim but rather reminded supporters and critics of her husband’s diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
Both Kim and Kanye were reportedly separated after his presidential campaign when ended as abruptly as it began. Kim visited Kanye at their home in Wyoming for a private conversation, which partially occurred in a vehicle. Photographers were not able to zero in on the celebrities’ words. The press did, however, capture pictures that showed Kim Kardashian crying while talking to her husband.
Kanye West issued a public apology to his wife after making his abortion allegations. “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter,” West tweeted. “I did not cover her like (sic) she has covered me,” the recording artist added. “To Kim, I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wed on May 24, 2014. They have four kids – North, Saint, Psalm, and Chicago – together.
