“I remember when my girlfriend [at the time] called me screaming and crying…” recalled West. “Then, she said, ‘I’m pregnant.’ And for one month, and two months and three months, we talked about her not having this child.” However, Kanye said that both he and Kim had a revelation and then decided to have North. “I said, ‘We are going to have this child.’ I know people who are 50 years old who don’t have a child,” said West. “So even if my wife were to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world, even when I didn’t want to.”

Kanye West also spoke about his late mother Donda West, who was considering aborting Kanye when she was pregnant with him due to his father, but fortunately for Kanye, she chose not to. “My mom saved my life,” shared West. “My dad wanted to abort me! My mom saved my life! There would have been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy!”

At that point, Kanye West burst into tears, shouting, “I almost killed my daughter!” repeatedly. Kanye and Kim welcomed North on June 15, 2013, and they have three more children, 4-year-old Saint, 2-year-old Chicago, and 1-year-old Psalm West together.
