Rapper King Von is dead at 26-years-old. The up-and-coming recording artist, and father of two kids, was killed in a shootout in Atlanta on Friday (Nov. 6) morning.
Footage of the incident shows what some speculate to be a fist fight that turns violent. An individual in white jeans, some believe to be King Von, appears to get the upper hand before seemingly being shot by the other party. The individual in the white jeans falls in the middle of the street in the clip before being tended to by a friend. The wounded person does not get up in the clip.
“That physical altercation escalated into an exchange of gunfire with those groups,” Atlanta police Deputy Chief Timothy Peek said in a statement to the press. “Two police officers who were working at that particular club, or lounge, noticed the altercation and engaged some of the people involved. There was an exchange of gunfire with police as well.”
Many remember King Von for his budding rap career. Most, however, recognize him as an amazing father to two children while also serving as a father figure to his nephew. King Von shared several candids of him with his kids on Instagram.
King Von was one of three killed in Friday’s shootout in Atlanta. The rapper’s childhood friends, Lil Marvin and Louie, were also murdered.
