John Boyega is already a dad! The Star Wars actor has revealed that he and his wife, actress Tae Heckard, welcomed their baby boy some time ago.
On Tuesday, October 13, Boyega took to Instagram to share the update alongside a series of photos, including a maternity portrait of the couple and a family photo with Heckard’s older son.
“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes,” he wrote. “My sister is about to pop! Wish her well too!”
He ended his message on a playful note, adding, “Back to feeding this big baby!”
The announcement comes just days after news broke that Boyega had secretly married nearly two years ago and was expecting a son.
During a recent interview with The Guardian, the 34-year-old actor revealed his marital status after a reporter noticed the wedding ring on his finger.
“Oh yeah, this is my wedding ring,” he shared. “I’ve been married for coming up to two years now.”
At the time, Boyega also spoke about his growing family, which includes a young stepson.
“My baby’s on the way. We got a baby cooking,” he said. “So, you know, my life is completely, completely fulfilled in terms of family. It’s been so nice with the timing.”
Although Boyega did not identify his wife during the interview, Heckard has since updated her Instagram profile to read “Tae Boyega.”
The actress, known for her role on The Game, is also mom to a 10-year-old son whom she shares with former NBA player Brandon Jennings.
As for fatherhood, Boyega previously shared that being present for his children is one of his biggest priorities.
“I just want to make sure I’m present, I’m consistent and full of love,” he told The Guardian.
Boyega and Heckard have not yet revealed their newborn son’s name or date of birth.
