Kylie Jenner made herself a promise at 25 years old: she would not have any more children before turning 30.
The mom of two, who welcomed daughter Stormi at 20 and son Aire at 24, opened up about the decision in a new interview with Who What Wear.
“I had two kids so young,” she told the publication. “I was 24 with two kids. I felt like I lost some of my youth.”
Jenner, now 29, said that realization led her to draw a line for herself as she entered the second half of her 20s.
“When I turned 25, I promised myself I wasn’t going to have any more kids in my 20s,” she said.
Jenner has previously made it clear that she does want more children in the future, but for now, she appears to be sticking to that promise.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder shares Stormi, 8, and Aire, 4, with ex Travis Scott. She has been dating actor Timothée Chalamet since 2023.
Her latest comments come amid speculation online that she may already be expecting another child.
During an appearance on the Better Half with Stas & Vic podcast, which aired Wednesday, Jenner acknowledged that she had seen the pregnancy rumors but said she no longer feels pressure to respond to every claim made about her.
“People think I’m pregnant right now,” she said. “At least I saw some things.”
Rather than issue a formal denial, Jenner said she figures the truth will eventually become obvious.
“I’m not going to address everything ’cause it’s, like, I’m going to be in a bikini somewhere, or I’m going to be out and the rumors will be squashed,” she explained.
And when Jenner does eventually decide to have another child, surrogacy probably won’t be part of the plan.
On a recent FaceTime appearance on Hulu’s The Girls, Jenner spoke with her friend Yris Palmer about the possibility of expanding their families. Palmer said she was considering surrogacy, prompting Jenner to admit that another pregnancy isn’t something she can imagine taking on right now.
“Trust me, the thought of carrying another baby right now feels insane,” she said.
Asked if she would use a surrogate instead, Jenner said she’s “99.9% sure” she wouldn’t.
“I don’t want to say no, but I’m like 99.9% sure I couldn’t do that,” she said, explaining that she has had “big healthy babies” and doesn’t currently see a reason to pursue surrogacy.
