Jimmy Butler and his ex-girlfriend, Kaitlin Nowak, are living together after years of battling in court over their three children.
Nowak revealed their current living arrangement in court documents filed Wednesday. According to TMZ, the model said she and Butler “are living with one anothe” and have reached a “comprehensive” agreement on a parenting plan.
The agreement is a major change from where the former couple stood just a few years ago.
Nowak filed a paternity and child support lawsuit against Butler in October 2023. After legally establishing Butler as the father of their three children, the two reached an agreement requiring the NBA star to pay $55,000 a month in child support.
Their disagreements continued, however, when Butler sought to end an additional $10,000 monthly payment for a nanny.
Butler initially agreed to cover the expense temporarily. He later argued that the arrangement was no longer necessary since two of their children were attending school. He also claimed in court documents that Nowak was unemployed and “refuses to seek employment.”
Nowak disagreed with Butler’s position. She maintained that she still needed the nanny to help care for their children outside of school hours and when traveling with them.
The issue remained unresolved as the case continued, but there had been little activity in recent months. Earlier this month, the court dismissed the case for inactivity.
Nowak is now asking the court to put the case back on the docket. She explained that she and Butler have made significant progress since then. Along with revealing that they are living together, she said she believes they can resolve their remaining issues within the next 45 to 60 days.
Whether the new arrangement extends beyond co-parenting remains unclear. Neither Butler nor Nowak has publicly said that they have rekindled their relationship.
The pair share daughter Rylee, born in 2019, and sons Brayan, born in 2022, and Kian, born in 2023.
