Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are celebrating a special milestone today as their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, turn 13.
The former couple took to social media to send birthday wishes to their teenagers. In a touching tribute shared on Instagram, Cannon poured his heart out, sharing his love for his kids.
He wrote, “Can’t believe 13 years ago I was blessed with the greatest gift of becoming a father!! God has truly had his hand on the lives of two of the most loving, kind , intelligent and well balanced humans I have ever witnessed!”
He continued, “Thank you for teaching how to love everyday and thank you for letting me be your dad! I’m going to eventually get it right, I promise!! Now let’s get back to partying! I love you Roc and Roe!! Happy Birthday!!!”
And partying they did! Cannon treated the twins to a cowboy-themed bash, sharing glimpses of the festivities on his Instagram stories.
He captioned one video, “Happy Birthday Roc and Rose. We turning up with the gang.”
And another shot, “Can’t believe my babies are teenagers.”
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey teased fans with a glimpse into her birthday preparations for the twins. Sharing a video of herself and daughter Monroe on Instagram, Carey wrote, “Kicking off the birthday celebrations of the year!!”
It seems the Queen of Christmas has a lot of celebrating in store for her beloved twins.
Despite their divorce in 2016, Cannon and Carey have remained committed to co-parenting their twins.
Reflecting on their journey as parents, Mariah Carey has spoken openly about the challenges and joys of raising Roc and Roe, emphasizing the importance of keeping them grounded and grateful.
“They’re a lot, but they give me so much love in return. I wouldn’t be the same person without them,” Carey told People in 2019.
“I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk,” she continued.
