DORA THE EXPLORER RETURNS WITH NEW ADVENTURES FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Dora fans get ready to embark on an entirely new set of bilingual adventures for preschoolers as Dora, Backpack, Monkey, and more return to the small screen! 

Are your wondering if all of Dora’s friends and foes will return? Well, the answer is YES! All of your beloved characters are returning for this new series, including Dora’s loyal companion, Boots. Throughout their adventures, they will be assisted by their reliable Map and will also face new challenges posed by Swiper, the fox. We cannot wait to hear Dora say, “Swiper, no swiping!”

According to Parents.com, the new series, simply titled Dora, will include 26 episodes. Each episode will run about 11 minutes long. The new series will debut on Paramount+ starting April 12 and also air on Nick Jr. internationally.

The debut of the new series is not all that Dora fans will get this spring! In addition to the new series, Nickelodeon is also launching a new podcast for preschoolers, “Dora’s Recipe for Adventure” which will center on food, family, and culture.

“Dora’s Recipe for Adventure” will feature ten adventure-filled episodes where Dora and Boots set out to explore the rainforest in order to locate essential ingredients for some of her family’s favorite meals that include: caldo de piedra (stone soup), arroz con huevos (rice with eggs) and maduros (fried sweet plantains).

And of course, like any other podcast, you will be able to find “Dora’s Recipe for Adventure” wherever you go to podcast.

The Dora voice cast will include: Dora (Diana Zermeño), Boots (Asher Colton Spence), Map (Anairis Quiñones), and Swiper (Marc Weiner). The original voice of Dora The Explorer, Kathleen Herles, will return to the series as Dora’s “Mami” and Mike Smith Rivera joins the cast as Papi.

Per a Paramount+ press release, additional cast members joining Dora include: Maria Canals-Barrera as Abuela; Danny Burstein as Grumpy Old Troll and The Fiesta Trio’s Frog and Marmoset; Katarina Sky as Backpack; Donovan Monzon-Sanders as Tico; Tandi Fomukong as Isa; Quintún Muñoz as Benny; Chris Gifford as Big Red Chicken; and Quiñones as The Fiesta Trio’s Armadillo. Featured guest stars this season are Taboo as Quickatoo and Kate del Castillo as Ale the Alebrije.

If you are new to Dora or her adventures, the Dora the Explorer series made its debut in August 2000, captivating children globally. The initial series ran for eight seasons, taking kids on exciting journeys. This original series is available for streaming and is currently enjoyed in 25 countries and territories, with translations in 32 languages.
