If you are not familiar with Dora The Explorer, let’s take a trip back to 2000-2019, when the original series was on Nickelodeon. Children everywhere were obsessed with following the adventures of seven-year-old Dora Márquez, her talking purple backpack, and her anthropomorphic monkey named Boots. Each adventure was based upon the trio having to solve problems in order to move forward on their travels with help from the viewing audience. And of course, everyone was able to take part-in and enjoy the Spanish language lesson of the day.

So, get ready to count once again in español, and hear Dora tell Swiper at least three times, “Swiper, no swiping!” However, the upcoming short will not be all of the Dora that we will get. The adventurous heroine will return to the small screen in an all new Dora series, debuting on Paramout+ in the Spring of 2024.

Dora and the Fantastical Creatures is set to debut, exclusively in theaters on September 29, 2023.
