MARSAI MARTIN CAST IN NEW ACTION THRILLER, “G20”

For fans who have been patiently waiting for Marsai Martin’s return to the screen, the wait is over! The talented multi-hyphenate entertainer and entrepreneur has been cast in the new Amazon MGM Studios and MRC thriller, G20.

Per Deadline, the description of the action to come has fans on pins and needles waiting until this thriller’s debut, which will also be produced by and star award-winning actress, Viola Davis. Curious as to what G20 is all about? Keep reading below.

“Directed by Patricia Riggen (The 33), G20 sees terrorists overtake the G20 Summit, with American President Danielle Sutton (Viola Davis) then bringing all her statecraft and military experience to defend her family, her fellow leaders and the world.”

G20 was written by Noah and Logan Miller, with revisions by Caitlin Parrish, Erica Weiss, and Jason Hall. In addition to JuVee Productions’ Davis and Julius Tennon, Mad Chance’s Andrew Lazar has also signed on to produce the project.

For Martin, G20 will act as a reunion of sorts as she will once again share the screen with her on-screen father, Anthony Anderson (Black-ish).

In addition to Davis, Martin, and Anderson, G20 will also star: Ramón Rodríguez (Will Trent), Antony Starr (The Boys), Douglas Hodge (The Great), Elizabeth Marvel (The Color Purple), Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus), Clark Gregg (Painkiller), Christopher Farrar (Home Team), John Hoogenakker (Waco: The Aftermath) and MeeWha Alana Lee (Umma).

Beyond the entertainment world, Martin has not only continued to be a champion for change, she has also cultivated groundbreaking partnerships with Clinique and GlassesUSA.com.

“I’m so excited to join Clinique as a Brand Ambassador and Partner Producer,” Marsai said in a press release. “It’s no secret how much I love skincare, and it’s such an honor to partner with an iconic beauty brand who takes pride in creating safe formulas for all skin types.”

In terms of Martin’s partnership with GlassesUSA.com, the 19-year-old actress will present an assortment of 28 eyewear styles in a fresh campaign titled “Four Eyes Are Better Than Two.”

“I always grew up with the idea that glasses are made to empower you. This collection from GlassesUSA.com is the true meaning behind my personal journey. As a proud glasses wearer, glasses have always been a huge part of my personal styles and this collection is truly ME.” she said in a statement about the partnership.
