Taking to her Instagram on Monday, Marsai shared  a series of pictures to mark her special day. In the photos, she dons a yellow dress while perched atop a giant yellow duck. She also posted a throwback baby picture of herself nestled in a tub, clutching a smaller, yellow duckie.

“The duck grew up too,” Marsai humorously noted.

Born on August 14, 2004, Marsai Martin has achieved remarkable success in her 19 years of life. The actress and producer, best known for her role as Diane Johnson on the ABC sitcom Black-ish, has been awarded a total of 11 NAACP Image Awards and nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

In 2019, Martin stepped into the limelight with a lead role in the comedy film Little, not only acting but also producing, making her the youngest person to ever produce a studio film. That same year, Time magazine aptly recognized her as one of the “Time 100 Next,” highlighting her growing influence and potential. In 2022, she continued to shine by starring in and producing the sports comedy film Fantasy Football.

Beyond her on-screen success, Marsai has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating positive change. Last year, when former First Lady Michelle Obama invited her to contribute to the Obama Foundation’s Get Her There initiative, Marsai eagerly stepped up. She produced and co-directed the campaign’s launch video, weaving together her creative talents and her passion for driving meaningful impact.

Even as she celebrates her 19th birthday, Marsai shows no signs of slowing down. Just weeks before this milestone, she announced two groundbreaking partnerships with Clinique and GlassesUSA.com.

“I’m so excited to join Clinique as a Brand Ambassador and Partner Producer,” Marsai said in a press release. “It’s no secret how much I love skincare, and it’s such an honor to partner with an iconic beauty brand who takes pride in creating safe formulas for all skin types.”

Additionally, Marsai has teamed up with GlassesUSA.com to present an assortment of 28 eyewear styles in a fresh campaign titled “Four Eyes Are Better Than Two.”

“I always grew up with the idea that glasses are made to empower you. This collection from GlassesUSA.com is the true meaning behind my personal journey. As a proud glasses wearer, glasses have always been a huge part of my personal styles and this collection is truly ME.” she said in a statement.
