In the video, the 26-year-old says that he just “had to do a quick taste test.”
“I had to do a quick taste test,” he said. “I believe if you’re gonna feed your kids something, you should be able to eat it yourself. I grew up on formula. My mama breast fed me probably for two days, and then, she gave me the formula. So I should be used to this.”
DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., goes on to tell the camera after his sampling that, “I ain’t gon’ lie, it ain’t that bad. It’s just hella watery. I can’t see myself crying over this s$%t though. He definitely over-exaggerates.”
Earlier this month, DDG opened up in a vlog about his experiences thus far as a new parent. In he video message, entitled, “I’m A Dad Now…,” the young father touched on a myriad of topics including his sons appearance, loving is son, changing diapers, etc. In addition, in the vlog, DDG expressed his admiration for not only his girlfriend, The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey, but for women in general. DDG acknowledged that giving birth isn’t easy.
“I seen him come out. I watched the whole thing I was honestly scared cuz you know I was like man I don’t really want to see this you feel me, but I’m like damn at the same time bro like I don’t plan on having a a million kids you feel me? Maybe down the line or you know maybe one or two more but like I’m probably not going to see this again so I went down there and I looked it was the craziest [ __ ] I ever seen in my life bro.”
The rapper added, “I have a newfound respect for women. As a dude, we really got it easy. I couldn’t imagine pushing a baby out of my P.O.”
Halo is the first child for both DDG and Halle Bailey. We cannot wait to see what “new parenting moments” DDG will try and share with us all!
