Choppa, born Bryson Lashun Potts, is a proud father of two children. His first-born, Clover, whom he shares with ex Mariah, was born on June 20, 2020.

In a heartfelt Instagram post back in May, he shared, “Clover literally changed my life.”

Fast forward three years, and the Memphis-based rapper welcomed his son with his on-and-off partner Marissa Da’Nae on August 16, 2023. The then 20-year-old rapper took to social media platforms to share the heartwarming news with his fans.

In addition to sharing his son’s name, Chozen Wone Da’Shun Potts, NLE Choppa took to Instagram stories to delve into the significance behind the name. According to the rapper, “Chozen” signifies someone chosen by God and considered God’s favorite, while it also encapsulates “zenful energy.”

Furthermore, he explained that “Wone” symbolizes his son’s victory at life, declaring him as the “chosen one.” And the middle name, “Da’Shun,” creatively combines elements from both his middle name, “Lashun,” and Marissa’s middle name, “Da’Nae.”
