The 2023-2024 school year is in full-swing. Many celebrity parents from preschool to college are packing lunches, helping to gather books, and moving freshman students into dorm rooms. Michael Strahan is officially a “#DukeDad”!

The former Good Morning America anchor shared a collection of photos from his daughter Sophia’s college drop-off on Instagram. The former NFL player wrote, “Dropped off the youngest of the tribe @sophialstrahan at college! Can’t believe how time has flown by and I’m so proud of her. I know she’s going to crush college life!! #DukeDad.”

The proud dad noted in his post that, as Sophia is a twin, he’ll soon be posting pictures from Isabella’s drop-off when she arrives at USC. So, #staytuned for more!

Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe are Bison parents!

Nicole Ari Parker marked her daughter’s college drop-off with a sweet montage shared on Instagram and set to Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely.” In the clips, 18-year-old Sophie can be seen hugging her brother Nicolas and settling into her new dorm room at Howard University.

Parker captioned her post, “I am so so proud of you. We miss you soooo much but we know you got this!! 💪🏽 Get to class on time,”  “Call me after 🤳🏻😃 Love Mom.”

Gizelle Bryant and Jamal Bryant’s daughter is a Rattler!

Grace Bryant is starting her freshman year at Florida A&M. The daughter of Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant and ex-husband, pastor Jamal Bryant, was all smiles as she posed for shots on the famous campus.

Grace’s mom isn’t wasting anytime with remodeling her daughter’s room. In a recent post, the Real Housewives of the Potomac star took followers on a tour of the construction, posting, “Grace has gone off to college, I cried but now that I have dried my eyes it is now time to completely REDO her room. #ImExcited #HGTV.”

Chris Spencer is joining the Kodjoes as a Bison parent as well!

Sophie Kodjoe will have company at Howard University. Christopher Spencer, son of writer, director and producer Chris Spencer is also a Bison. The duo are actually childhood friends, so, that makes it even better.

Spencer posted on Instagram, “This week the Kodjoe‘s and the Spencer’s moved in there first bornses into @howard1867 . These two have known each other since they were infants as you see from the pictures as you scroll to the left.” He continued, “We parents are so proud that these two will continue to forge ahead with your love and friendship for each other. Sophie and Christopher. We love you. #imnotcryingyourecrying.”

Dondre and Salli Richardson-Whitfield head to Atlanta to drop off at Seplman!

Actor, author, and activist, Dondre Whitfield and his wife Salli Richardson-Whitfield are headed to Atlanta as their daughter has officially become a Spelman woman.

Whitfield poetically posted on social media, “As a parent, everyday of your life with your child, is about preparing them to leave you and prepare them for the matriculation of life. This week was both a celebration and a mourning. My heart is aching…Because while my wife @sallirichwhit and I have worked extremely hard to prepare her for this moment in life, it never prepares our hearts. While I’m celebrating that Parker is coming into her self and her womanhood, I’m also grieving over the the fact that she no longer my child. She’s my daughter! So mourning the loss of my child finds my heart extremely heavy.”

He continued, “I trust that we have prepared her properly. We just didn’t know that we wouldn’t be prepared for the heart ache. @spelman_college you got a great one who will become greater under your tutelage.”

Whitfield’s words unquestionably are giving us a #imnotcryingyourecrying moment.

Last, but not least…

Lela Rochon’s son is headed to Temple University.

The veteran actress ushered her son off on his new journey with a beautiful blessing, acknowledging that he, like all of the celebrity offspring, “grew up too fast!”
