Floyd Mayweather is a doting grandfather to his grandson! he iconic boxer recently treated his grandson to a shopping spree and posted images from their outing on social media.


“Out shoe shopping with my grandson @kjmeezymayweather,” he wrote on Instagram.

Mayweather’s passion for boxing appears to have been passed on to his grandson, Kentrall Gaulden Jr., affectionately called KJ. The internet recently went abuzz with a viral video of KJ shadowboxing in the ring, displaying his innate talent and flair for the sport. At just 2 years old, KJ’s footwork is already impressively on point, showcasing a jab and an uppercut – two fundamental punches that hint at his early training with his legendary grandpa.

In another video, KJ stands in the ring wearing oversized gloves while his grandpa goes through his workout routine. The dedication of both Mayweather and KJ is evident as the young tot shadows Mayweather’s every move and eagerly mimics his actions. 


While KJ’s promising boxing skills are captivating, he carries another potential talent within his blood – rapping. His father, Kentrall Gaulden, is known in the music world as N.B.A. Youngboy. However, the intersection of these two talents has created some friction within the family.

NBA YoungBoy has expressed his desire for his son to forge a different path from his grandfather Floyd Mayweather. He has voiced his hope that instead of pursuing boxing, his child will venture into becoming a UFC fighter.

NBA Youngboy and Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna Mayweather, welcomed their son in January 2021. Apart from his child with Iyanna, the hip-hop artist has fathered 10 other children with multiple women.
