Time waits for no one! Reagan Gomez celebrated her daughter’s sixteenth birthday earlier this week, which left some of the veteran actress’ social media fans wondering how the youngster grew up so quickly.
Reagan’s birthday message to Scarlett was sweet. “Happy 16th birthday Scarlett,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “Hella late with my bday post cause we’ve been outside today,” Reagan mused. “Me, Dad, and Tyger love you so much and we’re so proud of the young woman you are,” the actress told her daughter. “Happy sweet sixteen, honey.”
Dozens of Reagan Gomez’s social media fans gave birthday wishes of their own. A few Instagram followers could not believe Scarlett was sixteen years old.
“Wow,” one supporter wrote in the comments section of Reagan’s post. “She’s a little woman now. They grow so fast.” Another fan said, “Sixteen? Wow! Happy Birthday little lady.”
Scarlett is the oldest of Reagan Gomez’s two children. The actress and her husband, DeWayne Turrentine, also have a son named Tyger.
Many know Reagan from her role in the Christmas film, Dear Santa, I Need A Date (2019). One of her big breaks, however, came from her days on The Parent Hood, which ran from 1995-1999. Reagan recently sat down with UrbanBridgez to discuss how her career has evolved.
“I love being here and it is fun! But being honest, I’m overwhelmed with the audition process 25 years later,” Reagan shared with the press. “What my passion is for content creating, I’m a writer and I’m a director. The thing I love about that, is I can create stories. I just love that process so much,” the actress exclaimed.
“Especially since I am a fan of genre films. Sci-Fi, Superheros and horror,” Reagan continued. “I think that is an untapped genre, not only for black folks but people in general. For women and girls, I’m really excited about this time. That is what keeps me going.”
