“Hey, best friends! I have a praise report,” Shamea exclaimed. “Shiloh’s first surgery went well @childrensatl,” Morton shared with her supporters.

Shamea went on to praise the “amazing” doctor who navigated Shiloh’s operation. “I just thank God for her,” Morton said. “She drilled through the tissue and bone that was completely blocking her nasal passages,” the celebrity mom explained.

“Shiloh now has stents in her nose but she’s been extubated (no more tubes in her throat). She now has a nasal cannula and she’s in her mommy’s arms!”

Shamea Morton welcomed her daughter on February 14, 2023. The RHOA star responded to those who gave their congratulations days later because of the complications Shiloh endured moments after entering the world.

“I cut the umbilical cord and we got a faint cry so we thought everything was fine. Moments later she began to struggle to breathe,” Morton told her supporters. “The doctors @northsidehosp immediately began to work on her but she eventually had to be put on 100% oxygen,” the celebrity mom shared.

“A few hours later she was intubated and placed on a ventilator. That’s where we are now,” Shamea told her social media followers on February 16, 2023.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to Instagram on February 18, 2023, to request prayers for baby Shiloh. “I held Shiloh for the first time on yesterday and the feeling was indescribable,” Morton revealed. “Dr. Sandy Jun is the sweetest, she’s the only one that even gave me that option,” Shamea added. “I was afraid I’d hurt her because of the tubes in her throat she reassured/comforted me and said, ‘We’re doing this.’”

Shamea went from holding her daughter while Shiloh was intubated to holding her baby who was extubated after surgery earlier this week. “Giving God the praise for this victory,” Shamea told her social media fans in her latest update. “We will know how successful it was once the stents are removed,” the celebrity mom shared.

Shiloh is one of two children Shamea Morton and her husband, Gerald Mwagi, have together. The couple’s oldest daughter, Shya, celebrates her sixth birthday later this year.
