"Grateful, Excited, Optimistic

Congratulations to Tavior Dontae Mowry, brother of Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley, on the birth of his son, Triumph Alexander Mowry. The musician and his wife, Zandy Mowry, took to Instagram on Friday (Feb. 3) to celebrate the arrival of their baby boy.

“Grateful, excited, optimistic. Our first child. Our son. The establishing of legacy,” Tavior began his note. “I know we own not one thing in this life,” the new father shared. “I simply steward the blessings that I receive by God’s grace and by that grace alone,” Mowry added. “My relationship with my wife operates in that way and it will be no different with my son,” Tavior declared.

The musician did not end his announcement without praising his wife for her strength. “I’m in awe of you,” Tavior wrote to Zandy. “You’re so incredible! I love you. I’m proud of you and again, this I know, I’m the most blessed man on the face of the Earth,” he shared. “Strongest woman I know!”

Dozens took to Instagram to congratulate Tavior and Zandy on the birth of their son. “Congratulations fam,” Jess Nolan wrote. “Honored to share a b-day with Triumph.” Another social media follower said, Congratulations. Loving the T names and continuing the legacy.”

Tia and Tamera took to their personal Instagram pages to share their excitement about Tavior and Zandy’s newest family member. “Hey guys, guess who is a NEW auntie,” Tia exclaimed. “HUGE congrats to @taviordontaemowry and @zandymowry for welcoming #triumph into the world,” Mowry shared. “Can’t wait to cuddle and hold you!”

Tamera Mowry-Housley wrote, “Couldn’t wait to share this amazing news! My awesome brother @taviordontaemowry and my beautiful sister n law @zandymowry are new parents! So grateful and blessed to welcome Triumph Alexander Mowry into this world.”

Zandy and Tavior Mowry married in 2020. The loving couple live streamed the wedding ceremony due to COVID restrictions that prohibited large gatherings.

“I remember a lot,” Tavior said of his wedding day during an interview with BSM magazine. “Super HD vivid,” he said of the video quality he and his wife gave virtual guests. “I will probably say the look in my wife’s eyes at the altar. That’s probably what I remember the most,” Tavior said of the special occasion.

Zandy and Tavior celebrate three years of marriage in September. Triumph is their first child.
