It has been twenty-four years since Seventeen Again (2000) made its debut in theaters. Tia Mowry took to Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 10) to celebrate with her son.

The actress recreated one of the scenes as a way to honor the film’s popularity. Tia’s son, Cree Hardrict, helped her accomplish the task.

“When I found out my movie Seventeen Again was trending, I just had to jump on,” Mowry shared with her fans. “Can’t believe it’s been 24 years since we filmed this movie,” the actress shared. “Life goes by fast, y’all,” Tia told her supporters. “Enjoy every moment!”

Seventeen Again was the film that summarized much of the 90s era for Tia and her sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley. The artists, leading voices of their generation, helped create a film that was heavy on positivity and family values.

Tia Mowry continues to be a strong voice in the present era as well. It was just a few weeks ago that the actress advocated for self-love and self-care while discussing her decision to file for divorce.

“I knew [my marriage was over] when I really started to focus on my happiness,” Tia recently told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager of TODAY. “I feel like women, we tend to focus on everybody else’s happiness, making sure that everybody else is OK — meaning our children, our friends, our family,” Mowry shared.

“At the end of the day, it’s about self-love,” Tia revealed. “When you start to really work on yourself, love yourself, know your value and know your worth, then all of a sudden, there’s this awakening,” the actress shared. “And it’s not easy. It’s a hard journey, but at the end of the day, I feel like it is so, so worth it.”

Tia Mowry and her estranged husband, Cory Hardrict, spent the holiday season together despite their plans to divorce. The celebrity parents have two kids, Cree and Cairo, in all.
