TIA MOWRY OPENS UP ABOUT DIVORCE FROM CORY HARDRICT

"At The End Of The Day, It's About Self-Love"

Tia Mowry knew the exact moment her marriage to Cory Hardrict was in trouble. The Family Reunion star opened up about her difficult decision to divorce her husband of fourteen years during a recent interview on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.

“I knew when I really started to focus on my happiness,” Mowry shared. “I feel like women, we tend to focus on everybody else’s happiness, making sure that everybody else is OK — meaning our children, our friends, our family,” she added.

“But at the end of the day, it’s about self-love,” Tia said. “When you start to really work on yourself, love yourself, know your value and know your worth, then all of a sudden, there’s this awakening. And it’s not easy. It’s a hard journey, but at the end of the day, I feel like it is so, so worth it.”

Tia Mowry took to Instagram last month to reveal her decision to file for marriage dissolution from Cory Hardrict after nearly fifteen years of matrimony.

“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different,” Tia shared with her social media followers. “I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” the actress revealed. “These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family, and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”

Tia and Cory have two kids together whom Mowry recently said were thriving despite the challenges facing the family at present.

“They’re continuing to thrive so beautifully,” Tia shared with PEOPLE. “I’m in awe of my children, especially my son right now,” she continued.

“I told him the other day, ‘I’m so proud of you,’ that he’s learning at such a young age that sometimes life will give you challenges, but that doesn’t mean that you give up, that doesn’t mean that you don’t believe in yourself.”
