Jamie Foxx has been singing along with his daughter, Anelise Bishop, this holiday season. The entertainer shared a video clip of his rendition of ‘The First Noel,’ which featured his daughter on keys.
Jamie hit every note perfectly as Anelise played the keyboard with excellence. “With her fingers and her father’s voice the sound is pure perfection,” one social media follower declared. “She gets it from her daddy,” another Instagram fan said. “So talented.”
Anelise indeed has the gift of music in her DNA. Not only can the youngster play the piano but she also knows how to hit the right chords on the guitar. The apple has certainly not fallen far from the tree as Jamie Foxx also sings and plays instruments.
It was during an interview on The Mike Muse Show that the Grammy award-winning entertainer delved into his desire to see his daughters break the glass ceiling in their respective career fields. “I wanted them to be able to have the same type of energy that my grandmother gave me,” Jamie shared.
“I want you to be able to go anywhere in the world and be comfortable,” he continued. “With our daughters, there’s a lot against them,” Foxx shared. “We gotta prop them up,” the celebrity father declared.
“So I take them to places, let them see women handling jobs in high places and empowering them in trying to unlock what has been locked for so many years with women of that, this is the only place you can go,” Jamie said of his efforts to inspire Anelise and her older sister, Corinne. “ I said, ‘I want you to crack that glass ceiling. I want you to break it wide open because you [are] mine.’”
Anelise appears to be in the groove of making waves in the music industry. Meanwhile, fans still have high hopes that Jamie Foxx will deliver another album one day.
“Are we ever going to get a Christmas album or naw (sic),” one social media follower asked after watching the video clip of Jamie and Anelise performing. “Any kind of album at this rate,” another fan agreed.
