KIM KARDASHIAN SAYS CO-PARENTING WITH KANYE WEST IS ‘HARD’

Co-parenting is unquestionably hard. And when you have a celebrity co-parenting situation, the stress of public opinion can make it seem even worse. Add in additional internal controversial factors, and it can be down right disastrous. Recently, a teary Kim Kardashian was a guest on the Angie Martinez IRL podcast and she talked about co-parenting with Kanye West.

“Co-parenting is really f—ing hard,” a teary Kardashian said in the interview.

She continued, telling Martinez that she tries her best to shield her four children from how everything is playing out in public between herself and West.

“If they don’t know things that are being said, why would I ever bring that energy to them? That is real, heavy, grownup s— that they are not ready to deal with. When they are, we will have those conversations. One day, my kids will thank me for not sitting here and bashing their dad. I could. I definitely protected him.”

Kardashian said continuing, “and I still will in the eyes of my kids. For my kids. So, in my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on [in] the outside world.”

Even though there was, and still is, a lot of “mud-slung” going on, Kardashian said that she knows her children will eventually find out details, but in the meantime, she will protect them as long as she can.

“I am holding on by a thread. I know that I am so close to that not happening,” the 42-year-old SKIMS founder continued, “but while it is still that way, I will protect that to the end of the Earth as long as I can.”

The couples highly-publicized divorce was finalized in November. In the dissolution of marriage/divorce agreement, terms included West paying Kim Kardashian $200K per month in child support for their children.

“The former couple will have joint physical and legal custody of their four children. The Grammy winner will be required to pay Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support. He will also be responsible for half of the children’s medical, educational, and security expenses. Both Kardashian and West waived spousal support.”

Kardashian and West share: nine-year-old North West, four-year-old Chicago, six-year-old son Saint, and three-year-old son Psalm.
