Seasons greetings from Shay Johnson and her “mini-me,” Shajiyah! The celebrity mom took to Instagram earlier this week to celebrate the holidays.

“Happy Holidays from me and my #SweetPea,” Shay told her social media fans on Monday (Dec. 19). Many responded with heart emojis after seeing pictures of Shay and Shajiyah posing for the holidays.

“So beautiful,” one social media follower shared. “These are perfect,” another fan said.

Shay Johnson gave birth to Shajiyah earlier this year. The celebrity mom spoke about her battle with fibroids weeks before her labor and delivery experience.

“I had every last symptom times 10,” Shay told her social media fans. “Other symptoms included my anemia which increased because my iron was extremely low due to heavy long extended [menstruation],” Johnson shared with her supporters.

“My menstrual would last up to 14 days,” the celebrity mom explained. “When I was normal it was six days. I was also advised at the rate my tumor was growing it would affect me having children.”

Thousands of women suffer in silence with fibroids due to embarrassment. Shay identified with such individuals as she, too, experienced a level of shame that led to her not pursuing intimate relationships.

“I felt like something was growing in me bigger than a softball and it was growing monthly,” Shay told her social media fans. “I couldn’t sleep most nights as it got worse,” Johnson revealed. “As far as a relationship, well, that was non-existent for me because I was embarrassed and didn’t want to bring anyone into my situation. It took over my life at one point.”

Shay was able to get the help she needed to overcome her fight with fibroids and ultimately move forward with her plans to start a family. Shajiyah was born in May. The little one is her mother’s first child.
