LANISHA COLE ADDRESSES CRITICS WHO CALL HER ‘BABY MAMA #538’

"It's Getting Old"

Lanisha Cole is setting the record straight for those who continue to drag her name through the mud for having a child with Nick Cannon. She took to Instagram on Wednesday (Dec. 21) to address the scrutiny she has received since giving birth to her baby girl, Onyx Cannon.

“For the people who still feel the need to be nasty towards me and send me disrespectful messages … I get that it’s easy to sit on your phone and look at a tiny glimpse of a person’s life and feel like you’re better than them,” Lanisha shared. “Yes, I’ve made mistakes. Yes, I’ve put myself through unnecessary pain and heartbreak. But I’m choosing to do better,” the new mom added.

“Calling me baby mama #538 every time I say the sky is blue is uncalled for and it’s getting old,” Cole said to those who choose to bring up the fact that she is one of several women with whom Nick Cannon fathers a child. “I get it. My life plays out publicly, but there’s a lot you don’t see,” Lanisha said.

“I wouldn’t change a single thing about my journey because I’m in a beautiful place now and everything had to happen the way it did for me to get here,” Cole told her supporters and critics. “I’ve made peace with every decision I’ve made in my life and I pray that you make peace with whatever is causing you to be so bitter towards a person you don’t know.”

Nick Cannon announced the birth of his and Lanisha Cole’s daughter in September. The entertainer expressed gratitude for another child and also asked critics to refrain from bringing their negativity to the mother of his child.

“I am not easily triggered and have quite tough skin and have always been an open book but not everyone in my family has that same level of strength,” Nick said. “So I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children,” the celebrity father requested.

“@MissLanishaCole is one of the most guileless, peaceful, and nonconfrontational kind souls I’ve ever witnessed, and only deserves to revel in this moment of blissful joy of motherhood,” Nick said in praise of onyx’s mom. “Please give her that.”

In all, Nick Cannon has eleven children. He is expecting his twelfth child to arrive in the coming days.
