The Queen has spoken! Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and the kids represented The Proud Family for Halloween 2022.
The ‘Church Girl’ singer took to Instagram on Thursday (Nov. 3) to share how she and the family commemorated the spooky holiday. “Family every single day and night,” Bey said of the candid, which captured all members of the Carter family in-character.
The candid was so convincing that Kyla Pratt who stars in The Proud Family as Penny commented. “The Queen and her beautiful family,” the actress said of Bey, Jay, and the kids.
“It’s ironic that she had a girl and exactly twin boy and girl just like the show,” one social media fan noted. “It took me a min to realize Bey was the grandma and the mama,” another supporter said in reference to Beyoncé portraying both Trudy Parker-Proud and Suga Mama. Others also commented on the recording artist’s decision to take on both characters.
Beyoncé has gone through quite the evolution these past two years. The recording artist discussed her transformation with Harper’s Bazaar last year.
“I’ve spent so many years trying to better myself and improve whatever I’ve done that I’m at a point where I no longer need to compete with myself,” the recording artist shared. “I have no interest in searching backwards,” Bey continued. “The past is the past. I feel many aspects of that younger, less evolved Beyoncé could never f*** with the woman I am today.”
Much of the woman Bey is today centers around her children. The recording artist shared a satisfying moment in which her oldest daughter, Blue, took a cue from her mom in the area of self-care.
“One of my most satisfying moments as a mom is when I found Blue one day soaking in the bath with her eyes closed, using blends I created and taking time for herself to decompress and be at peace,” Bey shared with Harper’s Bazaar last year. “I’m so happy that my daughters will have the example of those rituals from me,” she shared.
In all, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have three kids – Blue, Sir, and Rumi – together.
