The accuracy of Lyric’s costume was down to the beauty mark on her cheek. In one photo, Lyric can be seen posing next to her younger sister, Liyah, who is dressed as a mermaid. “My loves,” Kyla Pratt captioned of the photos.

Many of Kyla’s Instagram followers responded to seeing Lyric dressed like her mom’s character on The Proud Family. “I thought this was you,” Issa Rae told Kyla. “I was so confused,” the actress said. Keke Palmer wrote, “I need her to do a live-action movie PERIOD!” Agreed!

The Proud Family received a revival earlier this year with the debut of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Disney+ ordered the series before production finalized.

“The show’s humor and relatable stories are as relevant with audiences today as ever,” Agnes Chu, senior vice president of content at Disney+, said in a statement. “Our audiences have loved rediscovering their favorite episodes of The Proud Family, and we’re excited Bruce, Ralph, Calvin, and the returning cast are creating new stories for their new home on Disney+.”

Kyla Pratt has two kids, Lyric and Liyah, with Black Ink Crew star Danny Kirkpatrick. You can catch up with old episodes of The Proud Family on Disney+ before The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder debuts on the platform. Stay tuned for more Kyla Pratt family news!
