Monica and her kids – Laiyah, Romelo, and Rodney Jr. – are promoting Foot Locker in a the brand’s latest campaign.

Skating in Atlanta is at the forefront of NIKE and Foot Locker’s new ads. The culture of the city is brought to the spotlight as one of the commercial’s participants deems skating as “an extension of dancing.” NIKE’s Air Force One sneakers are also highlighted as another participant says, “If we’re not in skates we’re in some Air Force Ones.”

Monica and her kids bring out the aspect of family in the sport of skating during the latest NIKE and Foot Locker ad. She compares the camaraderie in the skating rink to that of family members joining forces for the greater good. The recording artist and her kids exhibit such unity by striking a pose in the middle of the rink.

“My Family and I Joined forces with @FootLocker and @kidfootlocker to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1,” Monica told her social media fans after doing the campaign with her kids. “We had to do it at Cascade Skating Rink,” the celebrity mom continued. “WE ARE THE REAL ATL,” Monica declared.

“Definitely true,” one social media follower agreed. “God bless Monica,” the supporter added. “Continue to do great and dope things,” the fan encouraged. “Love this,” another Instagram follower said.

NIKE released its Air Force 1 “Anniversary Edition” in honor of the sneaker making its debut forty years ago. The latest design pays tribute to the original sneaker all while bringing new aspects of style to the table. The “Anniversary Edition” gets the details right with the NikeConnect emblem, located on the heel of the shoe, embroidered with gold. There are also graphics of a mic on the insole, which further pays tribute to Atlanta and its music culture, which has helped make NIKE Air Force One sneakers great over the years.

NIKE fans will be able to purchase a pair of the Air Force 1 “Anniversary Edition” sneakers soon. Supporters are encouraged to check the SNKRS app for updates.
