Drake’s son, Adonis Graham, celebrated his fifth birthday on Tuesday (Oct. 11). The little one received birthday wishes and a superhero themed party from his mom and dad on his special day.

“Joyeux anniversaire mon amoureux … 5 ans déjà,” Sophie Brussaux wrote to her son. “I’m so proud of the beautiful human you are growing up to be,” the philanthropist went on to say to her little one. “We’ve done a great job @champagnepapi,” Sophie told Drake in the social media post.

Drake also took to Instagram to commemorate his son’s birthday on Tuesday. “Happy fifth to my twin,” the rapper shared in a short but sweet message.

Adonis Graham made Drake a father for the first time in 2017. The ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ rapper did not immediately share his fathering a child with the world. Drake instead responded to a diss track released by rival rapper Pusha-T, which accused the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper of hiding his son because of shame.

Drake clarified that he was not shielding his son because of shame, but rather protecting Adonis from a world that is sometimes cruel. The rapper later gave insight into his feelings about sharing the news of his fathering a child during an interview with Lil Wayne on Young Money Radio with Lil Wayne last year.

“It was great for me. It was great to just share that with the world,” Drake told Wayne. “I just woke up one morning and I was like, ‘You know what? This is just something that I want to do.”

Drake confirmed his fathering a son in an Instagram post in March 2020. The rapper has shared several pictures of his “mini-me” online ever since. Drake even brought Adonis to Billboard Awards last year. The youngster stood next to his father onstage as Drake accepted the Artist of the Decade Award.

Some rationalize Adonis following in his father’s footsteps in the coming years. Others believe the youngster will take after his mom as a painter. Fans will have to keep following Adonis and his parents online to see what path the little one chooses for himself.
