"We Are Still Trying To Figure It Out"

“This is not the way I wanted it to come out,” Nene said of the situation. TMZ reportedly broke the story of Brentt’s medical emergency and subsequent hospitalization.

“We wanted to be able to talk about it ourselves when Brentt was in a better place,” Nene shared with her fans. “So, here I am because I would rather the correct thing be out there than something that’s not correct,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star said.

Leakes revealed that her son suffered a stroke last month. He was also diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

“They have run a number of tests on him to see what could have possibly made this happen to him,” Nene told her supporters on Monday. “And we are still trying to figure it out,” she added. “Because if we knew the cause, obviously they could treat the cause. It was very scary.”

Some may remember Brentt Leakes from his high school graduation in 2017. The youngster was the pride of his mom and dad.

“This day is finally here,” Nene exclaimed in an Instagram post. “@greggleakes your baby is wayyyyyy bigger than you,” she wrote to her husband. “The little shoes you once loved seeing @kingbrentt wear you guys get to laugh and reminisce about it today,” Nene wrote to Gregg. “I’m so proud! I can’t keep it together.”

Gregg also wrote a tribute to Brentt on the youngster’s special day. “Congrats to my Son, King Brentt for pulling through,” the celebrity father said. “The World awaits [for] you [to do] something to make life better for everybody you touch. They grow up fast.”

Gregg Leakes passed away last September after a battle with cancer. Brentt continues to improve despite having speech difficulties.
