The teenager said in a statement regarding his deal:

“For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family. Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild — it really means a lot to me.”

And the family legacy started with NBA Los Angeles Lakers great, LeBron James when he signed a lifetime deal with Nike in 2015. The elder James recently opened The LeBron James Innovation Center at Nike’s Oregon headquarters and Bronny hopes to continue supporting the LeBron James Family Foundation and positively impacting communities that matter most to him.

Although this might be Bronny’s most lucrative NIL deal, it is not his first. The talented athlete signed his first NIL deal with PSD Underwear. PSD, which stands for “Pants Saggin Dezign.” The underwear company is known for partnerships with professional athletes, including Ja Morant, Jimmy Butler, and Chase Elliott. Bronny is the youngest athlete/entrepreneur to partner with the well-known underwear brand.

Back in February, Bronny commented on the deal in a press release saying, “I’ve been wearing PSD for as long as I can remember. When the connection is real and authentic, it makes a partnership like this really exciting. I’m looking forward to sharing my ideas and input to create some pretty unique pieces.”

According to a past report from On3, although the financial details of Bronny’s deal with PSD were not disclosed, he was projected to make $5.1 million in NIL deals before he graduates from high school. Now, add to PSD the new Nike deal, the sky is definitely the limit for this rising star.

James currently attends the Sierra Canyon School in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Many additional children of famous athletes have also attended the Sierra Canyon School. The basketball team roster has also included Zaire Wade, son of NBA great Dwyane Wade in addition to five-star recruit Ziaire Williams.
