Jesse Williams’ ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, is questioning her former spouse’s parenting tactics. The real estate broker took to Instagram earlier this week to gain insight from her fans and to also subtly expose her kids’ father for his rearing practices.
“Is it good for the health and wellness of a 7yr and 8yr old to be taken out of school on a regular basis to fly cross country overnight on a red eye to be on the ground for two days,” Aryn asked her supporters. “Is it reasonable for them to return dazed and confused and then be expected to pick right up and survive at school the rest of the week,” she further inquired.
“I don’t think so,” Aryn exclaimed. “Neither do any of the parents who actually parent on a routine basis,” the entrepreneur shared. “There’s a name for the condition of an adult who expects their children to indulge, caregive, and service that adult’s desires at the childrens’ expense.”
Aryn Drake-Lee received loads of support from her social media followers. “You already know I know babe, and I’m standing with you,” Kelis shared. “All you have to do is state the facts,” the recording artist added. “Sending love, friend,” Sally Kohn said.
Jesse Williams and his ex-wife have been involved in a very public and rather brutal child custody battle. It was just a few months ago that Aryn and Jesse went to court over scheduling conflicts. She specifically shed light on his irregular work hours, which often led to missed quality time spent with their kids.
Aryn also complained about the structure she worked hard to establish for the children only to have her ex-husband break the rules. She ultimately filed for primary custody of her and Jesse’s kids in the hope of bringing more stability to their lives.
“I have tried to communicate with Jesse,” Aryn said in court documents. “In May 2020, I sent a detailed communication with my concerns about their health and exhaustion, which Jesse read and ignored,” she added.
“I am requesting modification of the custody schedule and other provisions of the judgment to better reflect the new reality of our lives, and most importantly, properly and positively address the needs of our children,” Aryn petitioned the court.
Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee have a son named Maceo and a daughter named Sadie.
