Laiyah Brown is enjoying her best life. Monica Denise’s daughter shared more pictures from her birthday celebration over the weekend.
The youngster uploaded several pictures of herself enjoying the beach. One candid featured Laiyah laughing out loud as the camera snapped the shot. “Lemonade w/ Grenadine me PLS,” the youngster said of the drink she was enjoying at the moment. “Looking just like your mom,” one social media follower said in reference to the candid. “I remember when she was a baby,” another fan said. “Just a gorgeous little lady,” the supporter exclaimed.
It was just a few days ago that Laiyah Brown celebrated her ninth birthday. The youngster received love from her mom and Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus. “Happy C-Day To My Niece, Laiyah,” Shante wrote to Laiyah. “You are growing into a beautiful intelligent young lady.” Monica wrote, “Happy ninth birthday, princess. We are always behind you.”
Laiyah is Monica’s daughter with star athlete Shannon Brown. Her parents were married for several years before ending their union nearly two years ago. Monica and Shannon’s divorce was very public and had its challenges.
“I’m not ashamed of what’s happening in my life,” Monica shared during a recent interview. “I just think because I still have such a love and respect, even for Shannon, that there’s certain things that are just not up for discussion,” the celebrity mom revealed. “We don’t have to be together to respect one another,” Monica told the press.
“We don’t have to be together to uplift one another and make sure that my kids always see that mom is looking forward to you having a relationship [with dad] forever and ever,” she further explained. “Anything I can do to really assist in making sure it continues to be everything that it’s always been, that’s what I’m going to do.”
Monica has three kids – Laiyah, Romelo, and Rodney Jr. – in all.
