Russell Wilson will play for the Denver Broncos longer than originally anticipated. The NFL quarterback recently extended his contract with his wife, Ciara, and their kids – Future, Sienna, and Win – by his side.
“There’s Nobody like You, God,” Russell wrote in an Instagram post that shed light on his contract’s extension. ‘There will NEVER be,” the star athlete added.
Russell Wilson came to the Denver Broncos earlier this year after playing as a quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks for ten years. There were rumors that Wilson was planning to leave the Seahawks last year. The NFL player, however, kept the gossip at bay until the time came for him to reveal his next chapter.
“Broncos Country, baby,” Ciara told her social media fans. “Let’s ride,” the recording artist added. Russell also spoke on the monumental moment in his career at a signing press conference.
“Broncos Country is about the history of the game,” Russell shared. “And I’m excited about it,” he added. “I’m excited about wearing the blue and orange. I’m proud to be a Bronco, it’s an honor, it’s a gift,” Wilson told the press. “I’m super excited about it, I’m super excited about winning,” the quarterback continued.
“I came here for one reason,” Russell assured his fans and skeptics. “[I] came here for one reason to win and that’s what I believe in.”
Russell Wilson led the Seattle Seahawks to two Super Bowl championship games during his time with the team. He is a breath of fresh air to many Broncos fans who believe he will do the same for their team.
“The thing that really sets Russell apart is that he’s a winner,” general manager George Paton said of Wilson a few months back. “No quarterback in their first 10 years in the league has won as many games as Russ,” the executive noted.
Russell Wilson signed a five-year extension with the Denver Broncos that comes with a $245 million salary. The new NFL season begins Thursday, September 8, 2022.
