“And just like that 8th grade,” Candace told her Instagram fans. “Lailaa, you are such a bright soul,” Parker told her daughter. “Keep being YOU … kind, sweet, bright, and LOVING! I love you with all my heart and I am SO PROUD OF YOU.”

Lailaa is Candace Parker’s daughter with Shelden Williams. The youngster made her mom a parent for the first time and has served as Candace’s biggest cheerleader from the stands at WNBA games.

“Seems like just yesterday you were starting kindergarten,” Candace told her daughter on Thursday. “It’s crazy, we’ve grown up together,” the celebrity mom shared. “Thank you for allowing me to chase my dreams and always knowing you remain my priority. ALWAYS. #MyReason. Thanks to my family for always repping and holding it down for me when I can’t be there physically, but keeping me in tune technologically and emotionally! I love you more than you will ever know. And appreciate you that much more.”

Candace Parker’s family expanded a few months back. The celebrity mom and her wife, Anna Petrakova, welcomed their son, Airr Larry Petrakov Parker, near the beginning of the year. Candace and Anna announced their little one’s arrival in February.

“We are in absolute love and utter appreciation that God chose us,” Candace told her social media fans. “Welcome to the fam (sic), son,” Parker wrote to her baby boy.

Many were shocked to learn of the birth of Candace and Anna’s son. Some were even unaware that the star athletes wed in 2019. “It’s been amazing to go through this again, and then obviously with my beautiful wife and my daughter [by my side],” Candace said of her life as a wife and the mother of two kids. “Being able to see her as a sister, it’s been amazing,” the WNBA star shared.
