Crystal Renay is ready to move forward with her children by her side after eight years of marriage to Ne-Yo. The celebrity mom took to Instagram on Saturday (Jul. 30) with a bombshell announcement of her decision to leave her children’s father. Ne-Yo responded to the news on Sunday (Jul. 31).
“Eight years of lies and deception. Eight years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected … every last one of them,” Crystal shared in her announcement of separation from Ne-Yo this past Saturday. “To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.”
Crystal Renay and Ne-Yo wed in 2016. He filed to divorce her near the end of 2019 to the surprise of the public and his wife. Crystal and Ne-Yo eventually made amends and renewed their wedding vows with their kids by their side earlier this year.
“I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t,” Crystal said in her statement on Saturday. “I choose me,” she added. “I choose my happiness and health and my respect. I gained three beautiful children out of this but nothing else but wasted years and heartache,” Crystal shared with her supporters. “If someone can’t love you the way you deserve, then it’s up to you to love yourself,” the celebrity mom declared.
"For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”
