Bri Babineaux is enjoying her life as a mom. The Gospel singer recently took to Instagram to share pictures from her son’s nursery designed in collaboration with Pottery Barn Kids.
Star Wars was the guiding light that influenced Bri’s decisions when it came to furniture and accessories. The recording artist paid attention to the details with action figures that brought out the main theme of the space. “Eli’s nursery,” Bri exclaimed in an Instagram post. “May the force be with you from our little Jedi,” the celebrity om added. “This Star Wars collection from @potterybarnkids is the cutest!”
Bri Babineaux and her husband, Keeslon Fontenot, welcomed their son, Eli Arias, last year. Bri recently spoke with Mom’s Actually about her first year as a parent in light of her husband working in the oil industry, which required him to be away from home more often times than not.
“It was bad. I literally cried,” Bri said of the beginning stages of her life as a mom. “I’m like, this is our first baby, and I felt like he really missed, he missed every important – what I thought was important at the time – [an] experience that I really wanted to share with him.”
The recording artist went on to say, “I actually wanted [my husband] to be there and us share that moment together. But, I mean, he was there for the most important part of it, which was for the birth, and so I was grateful.”
Keeslon’s demanding job is not new to Bri. The two wed in 2018. “Baby, if you ain’t prepared for that offshore life, I’m telling you, nothing can prepare you for it,” the Gospel singer said of the adjustments she made in light of her husband’s career. “Sometimes, he has a set schedule where he could be gone for three weeks.”
“Sometimes, he’s gone for two months. So, it just varies depending on what the job load is,” Babineaux explained. Still, even with full knowledge of her spouse being away from home out of necessity, things can get rough.
“I’m a new mom and I’m a wife, so I’m not only trying to juggle being a new mom, I’m still trying to make sure I do my wifely duties and make sure my husband is taken care of, and trying to make sure that I have enough time for myself,” Bri shared with Mom’s Actually.
“I didn’t know how to juggle it,” the Gospel singer admitted. “Nobody can really prepare you for it until you actually get in it.”
Eli celebrates his first birthday in November.
