Looking for a much-needed break from stormtroopers and TIE fighters, Finn arranges a surprise vacation for his friends Rey, Poe, Rose, Chewie, BB-8, R2-D2, and C-3PO, aboard the ultra-luxurious Galactic Starcruiser, the Halcyon. But Finn’s plan to have one last hurrah together quickly goes awry when he’s separated from the group. While searching for his friends, he encounters three Force ghosts: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Leia Organa, who each share their own unexpected stories of vacations gone wrong, helping him to understand that holidays are about more than just having fun.
According to Collider.com, the upcoming movie will feature vocal talent from both the original films and the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Lego Star Wars Summer Vacation will feature the voices of “Weird Al” Yankovic as Vic Vankoh, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, Yvette Nicole Brown as Colvett Valeria, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Billy Dee Williams as Lando (Holovid), among others.
To top it off, Weird Al Yankovic will have an original song in the special entitled, “Scarif Beach Party.”
Lego Star Wars Summer Vacation will unquestionably have something for everyone as the family comedy is “all about how vacations don’t always go the way we expect.”
Writer/producer of the project David Shayne explains, “I don’t know how all your vacations went, but my family vacations have often gone a little awry. That’s going to happen to them, maybe.”
At one point and time, we can all relate to a summer vacation gone array. Make sure to tune-in to Disney+ on August 5 and get one more summer vacation in before school starts.
