Nick Cannon is not saying just how many kids he will welcome by the end of this year. The entertainer recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight (ET) about his blended family.
“That would take all the fun out of it if I just gave you a number right now,” Nick said when asked by Nischelle Turner for an exact number of children he is expecting to arrive this year. The notion of three kids came up during the conversation to which Nick neither confirmed nor denied.
“You would be close,” Nick told Nischelle when she presented the number three. “You would be safe to bet on three [more children] in 2022,” the celebrity father said.
Nick Cannon has come under significant scrutiny because of his nontraditional family. Some have accused him of leading a cult with the mothers of his children. Others have deemed Nick a deadbeat father, which Cannon and the mothers of his children have refuted.
“My children have busier schedules than I do,” Nick told Nischelle. “They each have their sensory class at 9 a.m. and then they have, you know, ballet at 3 and baseball at 4, so they’re the ones with the schedules,” the celebrity father continued.
“It’s organization, ’cause, obviously, we all do have things going on throughout the day and with there being so many people involved, we got to make sure we are on the same page, ’cause I don’t want to miss anything,” Nick Cannon said.
“I’m showing up at whatever, but I do have to make sure, ‘Okay, such and such has a 9 a.m. I got to be at ballet at 3. I got to be at baseball at 4.’ That’s the schedule we were talking about, so no one has to call my assistant to get to me,” the celebrity father shared.
Nick Cannon fathers seven children. He is expecting his eighth child with model Bre Tiesi to arrive in the coming days.
