Erica Mena celebrated the birthday of her and Safaree’s son, Legend Brian Samuels, on Wednesday (Jun. 29). The Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL) star took to Instagram with birthday wishes for her little one.
“A Legendary Birthday,” Erica shared after giving her son a celebration to remember. “We spent the whole day loving on you,” Mena wrote to her son. “Legend, you really completed our life,” the celebrity mom told her son. “Your siblings and I are so obsessed with you Papa. You came into this world early but on your time. I’m so blessed I’m your mother. Twelve days You and Me in the NICU. Now, your first birthday on an island. Yeah, God doesn’t play about you. Happy HAPPY FIRST Birthday To My Legend.”
Legend Samuels was born on June 28, 2021. He arrived in the midst of Erica Mena’s battle with Safaree for fidelity and support. Erica accused her husband of cheating during one of his business trips. She also accused him of failing to support her and the kids. In fact, Safaree was not present for the birth of Legend who spent several weeks in the NICU after arriving prematurely.
Some accused Erica of refusing to let her husband be with her in the delivery room because of their marital problems. Mena addressed the gossip in a social media post.
“I seem to still be getting bashed by this false narrative that I wasn’t allowing my ex-husband into the delivery room,” Erica told her supporters and critics. “When that was filed in court it was extremely surprising to me especially because I was in the hospital prior and no effort made to be present at all.”
Erica assured her fans that she would not forbid her estranged husband from seeing his kids despite their marital issues. “Never been or will be the type to keep him from them,” Mena declared in her social media address.
Safaree and Erica Mena have two kids, Legend Brian and Safire Majesty, together.
