To mark the special occasion, Amber posted a touching tribute video to her son, entitled, “It’s Graduation Day”.

Son,

Congratulations on closing this monumental chapter in your life! I have enjoyed watching you grow into the talented, hard working and respectful young man you are today. As much as I want to take credit, I can’t. It’s YOUR character, YOUR work ethic and YOUR loving heart that makes you who you are. Your future holds so much success and I pray that you continue to follow your dreams. I am so blessed to be on this journey with you. This next chapter, I will be here to advise, encourage and celebrate you, but not to wake you up, feed you or tell you to study….so, it’s on you now! Thankfully, I’m not worried, because you’ve shown me over and over again that you have what it takes for every next level.

Proudddda You, Twin!

Love,
Momma

If you haven’t heard, this talented athlete is unquestionably going to follow in his father’s footsteps, committing to play baseball at Georgia Tech.

“Since Day 1, the first time I came in contact with them, they were all about family, and the culture, and the culture of winning that it takes to play at Georgia Tech,” Sabathia talked about his choice in a recent interview with Northjersey.com. “And once I started to get into conversations, not just about baseball, but about family, life, and things outside the white lines, I fell in love.”

“Lil C” admitted in his commitment video another reason why he wanted to play in Georgia…his grandmother.

“I’m about to go where my granny’s gonna be my biggest fan,” he said.

Equally as proud as Carsten’s mother and grandmother, CC Sabathia is simply in awe of his son’s raw talent. In a past interview, he told The Athletic’s Lindsey Adler that his son, “…controls the strike zone. He sees more pitches than anybody I’ve ever seen at his age.”

Congratulations, to all of the Sabathia’s on this monumental life-milestone. We, along with, we are almost positive, the MLB, will be watching Carsten’s upcoming season as one of Georgia Tech’s Jackets.
