Kimora Lee Simmons is the mom of a teen son! The fashion mogul took to Instagram on Monday (May 30) to commemorate her son Kenzo Hounsou’s thirteenth birthday.
“Today I am the proud mom of a teenage boy,” Kimora exclaimed in an Instagram post. “#KenzoLee is 13,” the celebrity mom further doted. “He is 6 feet tall. ALMOST taller than me,” Kimora said of her son’s growth in her social media post. “I am holding back tears of joy when I say how proud I am of this kind, super smart, funny, amazing, handsome young man! Here’s to YOU #KENZOLEE! you make us all so proud of you each and every day.”
Kenzo Lee Hounsou is Kimora Lee Simmons’ son with actor Djimon Hounsou. The youngster also has older sisters named Ming and Aoki who are Kimora’s kids with Russell Simmons. Kenzo also has younger brothers named Gary, whom Kimora recently adopted, and Wolfe, who is Kimora’s son with her estranged husband, Tim Leissner.
Kimora recently sat down with Hollywood Life to talk about her life as a mother of five kids. “I started my career at a very young age so I know how that can be,” the celebrity mom told the media source. “And I was a parent at a very young age — 12 or 13-years-old, so I know how that is, moving around these big cities,” Kimora shared regarding her life on the go with kids.
“So I think it’s just keeping your eye on your kids, being involved, doing the best you can,” the celebrity mom shared in reference to her commitment to having a balance between parenthood and a demanding career. “I’m not perfect, but showing up,” Kimora said. “I’m there for my kids every single day. Every single day.”
Kimora Lee Simmons’ youngest daughter, Aoki, is the next to celebrate her birthday in August.
