Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have welcomed their first child together. The ‘Umbrella’ singer gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on May 13th, according to TMZ.
Sources close to the celebrity couple tell the press that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s little one was born last Friday (May 13). Neither the ‘Umbrella’ singer nor the ‘Praise The Lord’ rapper have confirmed such a claim, though.
Fans last saw Rihanna on Mother’s Day weekend. The Fenty Beauty owner gave a beauty tutorial in which she was sure to showcase her baby bump to squash rumors that she had given birth. “The glow,” Jeremy O. Harris shared. “Rihdefining self-care,” another social media follower said. “More of this!”
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna confirmed their expectancy of a child at the beginning of the year. The pair were photographed while walking hand-in-hand down the street as Rihanna let her bare bump show. Many loved the ‘We Found Love’ singer’s edgy maternity style. Some, however, criticized Rihanna for refusing to cover her protruding stomach while in public. The recording artist, however, remained unfazed by the scrutiny.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, ‘There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle,'” Rihanna said during a recent interview with Vogue magazine. “I’m sorry—it’s too much fun to get dressed up,” the ‘Stay’ singer continued. “I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing,” Rihanna declared.
“I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,” the singer went on to say during her recent interview with Vogue. “My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that,” Rihanna said. “This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s baby is the first for both her and him.
