It is truly important for children to be able to see themselves represented in all faucets of life. And, in education, it is no different. After noticing their children’s educational recommendations were not very diverse on YouTube, one Houston family took action. “Gracie’s Corner” provides diverse educational fun on YouTube.

The family behind the popular education channel is comprised of Javoris Hollingsworth, Arlene Gordon-Hollingsworth, who both come from an education background, and Gracie herself. Recently, the trio stopped by local talk show, Great Day Houston, to discuss what it has been like to create a channel just for kids that provides educational fun for children for all backgrounds.
“Gracie’s Corner was created in 2020 to provide quality content for children to enjoy. To offer our songs and videos to our viewers for free, we joined YouTube the same year. This platform has allowed us to reach thousands of children and their families,” the official “Gracie’s Corner” website reads.
“At Gracie’s Corner, we empower and educate children from diverse backgrounds. We pride ourselves on creating fun and engaging songs that emphasize learning. In addition, our songs make viewers want to get up and DANCE! We hope you enjoy exploring the many adventures alongside Gracie and her family.”
