The adventures of motherhood continue to evolve for Tia Mowry. The Family Reunion star recently took to Instagram to celebrate breastfeeding ahead of her daughter’s birthday.
“You guys, since it’s almost Cairo’s birthday, I started looking through old photos and remembered how much I loved breastfeeding her,” Tia told her social media followers. “It was so beautiful to be able to feed my baby with my own body and any time her little eyes locked with mine,” the actress reminisced.
“I felt my heart explode,” Tia said of her breastfeeding experience. “It was the best feeling in the world and I cried when it was over! It was so special. Any other mamas feel the same?”
Several of Mowry’s Instagram followers shared their experiences as moms who breastfed their kids. “I have four children and currently still breastfeeding the fourth one,” one social media fan said. Another of Tia’s supporters wrote, “It was the best thing in the world breastfeeding my little one. I loved feeling connected to him in that way.”
Cairo is Tia Mowry and her husband Cory Hardrict’s youngest child. The couple welcomed their daughter on May 5, 2018. Tia shared how Cory is a hands-on father during an interview with the press in 2019.
“He’s washing dishes. He’s giving my daughter and my children a bath and I’m also taking out the trash,” Tia said regarding the chores they share. “When Cory watches my kids, I’m not like ‘He’s babysitting,'” Tia added. “He’s just taking care of his children, doing his job as a parent,” Mowry continued.
“I don’t feel like men get asked that question about how do you balance life,” Tia further explained. “I feel like society just puts these standards on women that we have to do everything,” the celebrity mom shared. “We have to cook, we have to clean, we have to be a mom.”
