Alyssa Scott has the support of Nick Cannon and other close family friends as she continues to grieve the loss of their son, Zen Cannon. Alyssa took to Instagram this past weekend to share a throwback candid of her with her little one.
The picture showed Alyssa holding Zen while taking in the outdoors. “This was our first time home since the hospital visit that changed everything,” Scott told her social media fans on Sunday (Apr. 3). “I spent this day pleading with God. And even though my faith was strong, I knew how important it was to hold my baby close,” the Wild ‘N Out star explained.
“And I did,” Alyssa continued. “Every single day and night for the months to come. I still carry regret for only having a hand full of photos of him and I together. As moms we are almost always the ones behind the camera. Now I keep these so close to my heart. These are the moments that matter. My son. My Zen ❤️ for eternity.”
Zen Cannon passed away last December after a battle with a brain tumor. Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott learned of their son’s condition when he was 2-months-old. The celebrity parents consented to multiple operations as an effort to fight the illness. The treatments, however, came too late.
Alyssa wrote a sweet note to her son in honor of Valentine’s Day earlier this year. “I can imagine us the night before Valentine’s Day filling out cards to hand to your classmates. All signed with your handwriting,” Alyssa wrote to her late son. “I know it would say: ‘Love, Zen.’ Every letter written with your tiny little hand,” Scott continued.
“I often think about your voice. The sound of you saying, ‘I love you mom.’ Words I will never hear, But still feel to this day,” Alyssa wrote to her son.
“I know you love me, Zen. You are everywhere,” Scott wrote to her little one. “I see you in everything beautiful. When I hear a baby giggle, when I see children playing. You are there. If I had one wish it would be to hold you. I know everything around me would stand still.”

“It would be just you and me. My last words to you were, ‘I’m here, I love you.’ That will ring true until the end of time. I’m here and I love you baby. Im just missing you extra today. My son. You are all of my dreams realized.”
