One clip showed Alyssa asking her son about his dreams. “Did you have lots of dreams,” Alyssa asked her little one. “What were you dreaming about,” Scott further questioned her son who was smiling the entire time. Another segment between son and mother featured Zen attempting to wave at his mom. “He was definitely a smart, beautiful baby,” one BCK Instagram follower said after watching the video collage.

Nick Cannon revealed the tragic news of his son’s passing during a recent segment of his show, which aired on Tuesday (Dec. 7). Zen suffered from a form of brain cancer that causes fluid buildup in the cavities of the brain, which ultimately leads to more pressure on the brain.

Nick and Alyssa learned of their son’s condition during what they thought would be a routine visit to the doctor to investigate Zen’s persistent cough. Zen underwent brain surgery to drain the fluid, which made the family hopeful of a positive outcome.

“But Thanksgiving we had an interesting turn and the process sped up,” Nick shared with his talk show audience. “The tumor began to grow a lot faster,” the celebrity father revealed. “We knew that time was [winding up],” he added.

Cannon made it a point to spend as much time with his youngest son as possible in the days leading up to Zen’s untimely passing. “This weekend I made a valid effort to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zen,” Cannon told his audience during Tuesday’s episode. “We woke up on Sunday and I just wanted to go to the water and we got a chance to go to the ocean,” the celebrity father said of his activities.

Zen passed away with family by his side. Nick praised Alyssa Scott during Tuesday’s show for her strength during such a tumultuous time. “Alyssa was just the strongest woman I’ve ever seen,” Cannon told his supporters. “We never had an argument, [she] was never angry, [she] was emotional when she needed to be, but was always the best mom and continues to be the best mom possible.”

Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott welcomed their son on June 23, 2021. Zen was the youngest of Nick Cannon’s seven children.
