Williams and her mini-me, 4-year-old daughter Olympia Ohanian, attended the luncheon in coordinating dresses. Williams was dressed in a magenta Ava One Sleeve Dress from her “S by Serena” collection. Olympia was fashion-forward in a checkered black and white dress with magenta flowers that matched her mom.

However, this is not the first time that the mother/daughter duo have twinned their fashion. Throughout the tennis star’s official Instagram account, you can see many instances of the pair twinning.

There is no doubt that the mother/daughter duo are crazy about each other, but the entrepreneur and athlete, like many mothers, is still trying to find a way to balance it all.

“I don’t know how moms do it,” she told Today in a 2020 interview. “I work a lot, and I can’t imagine working a full day like most working women and then go back to their babies. I’m fortunate enough that I have days off, and I get to make my schedule and then can spend the rest of the day with her. And that’s still hard.”

Are there more children in Serena’s future? Yes. Earlier this year Williams opened up to Entertainment Tonight in an interview and told the popular news outlet that that she would “definitely” like to expand her family with husband Alexis Ohanian but acknowledges that it will all depend on the right timing.

“[I]t’s always like, OK, are we ready? And I know the clock is ticking so I’m just like OK, I need to figure out when that’s going to be, but hopefully soon when I will feel no pressure.”

Williams and her daughter attended the Essence Women in Hollywood luncheon to pay homage to all of this year’s honorees, including Aunjanue Ellis, who portrays her mother in the Oscar-nominated biopic, King Richard. Ellis, in addition to being an Essence honoree this year is also nominated for an Oscar herself, for best supporting actress in King Richard.
