The dynamic duo have split duties for the virtual event. Actress and producer Cox will host the event while Reid will host the virtual pre-show red carpet.
Cox follows in the footsteps of previous hosts such as Gabrielle Union, Kelly Rowland, Eve and Yvonne Orji, among others. She is the perfect host this year that truly embodies the show’s 2021 theme, “Mastering Our Stories.” Cox has broken barriers and inspired people world-wide with her message of being true to who you are while loving yourself unconditionally.
However, before they kick-off this year’s festivities, Storm Reid, one of BCK Online‘s favorites, will host the virtual red carpet pre-show. The Euphoria actress will talk with guests about this year’s event.
Reid has transformed into one of young Hollywood’s most sought-after faces since her start in the box-office hit, A Wrinkle in Time. Since then, Reid has gone on to star in When They See Us, and of course, in HBO’s hit series, Euphoria.
In addition to being in front of the camera, Reid has taken on going behind the camera as well with founding her own production company, A Seed & Wings Production company.
As if she were not busy enough, the talented teen is headed to college! Recently, she got the news that she had been waiting for.
Reid excitedly shared the news on Instagram.
“I’ve been on set allllllll day, and I wanted to wait to get home to open this. Was a ball of nerves all day. I got my first college acceptance two weeks ago, but I’ve been waiting on this one for a hot minute. WE GOT INTO USC BABY.”
Mark your calendars for the 14th annual Black Women In Hollywood Awards. The show will stream on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 7-10 pm EST.
