Vanessa Bryant’s Mambacita clothing line continues to receive massive support nearly one year after she launched the brand. The late Kobe Bryant’s wife saw the Mambacita hoodie collection sell out 24 minutes after the product went live on the company’s website earlier this week.
The hoodie collection paid special tribute to both Kobe Bryant and Gigi Bryant by featuring their jersey numbers on the back. Gigi wore jersey number two when she played for the Mamba Sports Academy. Kobe Bryant wore jersey numbers eight and 24 during his 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Mamba/Mambacita Sports Academy gave thanks to supporters for buying hoodies on Thursday (Feb. 24). “Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. We are overwhelmed with gratitude. Our hoodie sold out in less than 24 minutes,” the academy shared on its Instagram page.
“Please know your purchase allows us to honor Kobe and Gigi through the work of the Foundation by creating an impact for underserved athletes and boys and girls in sports,” the organization continued. “A very special thank you to @champion for donating this limited-edition special collection, where 100% of the net proceeds support @mambamambacitasports.”
Vanessa Bryant launched the Mambacita clothing line last year. Support for the grand led to products selling out in a matter of hours. Vanessa gave fans another opportunity to purchase apparel from the Mambacita line on what would have been Gigi’s fifteenth birthday.
“In loving memory of Gianna ‘Gigi’ Bryant, to celebrate Gigi’s birthday 5/1/06 we’re doing a limited edition PRE-ORDER drop of the exclusive MAMBACITA x @DANNIJO hoodies with (100%) of proceeds benefitting the @mambamambacitasports foundation,” the celebrity shared on her Instagram page last May. “The premium hoodies are made in Portugal, hand tie-dyed in Los Angeles, and packaged with Love,” Vanessa told her supporters.
